Foundation

The Sen Wellness Foundation is a UK registered charity (1122160), founded in 2005 to help children and families in Sri Lanka recover from the devastation caused by the tsunami of the previous year.

In recent years, the Foundation’s work has expanded to include environmental sustainability, including an exciting reforestation project in Rekawa Nature Reserve in southern Sri Lanka, where the Sanctuary, our retreat centre, is based.

Launching in November 2019, we have committed to planting 10,000 mangrove trees by the end of 2021. The impact will contribute to the fight against climate change, promote biodiversity and assist the 50 families who depend on the Rekawa Lagoon for a large part of their livelihood.

The Foundation continues to help, support and reach out to vulnerable children in Sri Lanka through paediatric osteopathy and education programmes. We also work with some of London’s largest children’s charities, providing free specialist osteopathic care at our Clinic to children and their families who would otherwise not be able to access high-quality osteopathic treatment.
